The Best Way to Cook Corn on the Cob

Buy sweetcorn in the husk. I’m a little bit late with this advice but I think there might still be some available in shops and from markets. (I hope to grow my own next year.)

Pre-heat your oven to 180°C. Put the sweetcorn, husk and all, onto a rack in the centre of the oven.Sweetcorn cooked in the husk

Remove from the oven after 30 minutes. Remove the husk (watch out for the steam that will be released) and the threads surrounding the corn.

The corn steams beautifully in its own husk; I can’t tell you how much more flavour it has than when it has been boiled or roasted alone.

Cover with butter, pepper and salt. Enjoy!
